The LAMPHUS® SnakeEyeTM LED Hideaway is a super compact, self-contained LED strobe light that is suitable for multiple applications. This emergency vehicle warning light can be used for surface mounting or internal mount within composite head lights, cornering lamps, tail lights, and many other light assemblies. The self-contained design utilizes an in-line driver/flasher that simplifies installation and excludes the need of having an external flasher or power supply. Featuring Generation III LED's, 19 flash patterns, synchronization function between multiple units; at only 7/8" in height, this hide-a-way strobe light unit is perfect for all applications where being visible is a necessity.

Exactly what I was looking for

Super bright, extremely compact. The separate units synchronize perfectly, and can be split into two separate groups which are counter-synchronized.The only potential complication with installation is finding a place to locate the driver/flasher unit. (My installation is on a motorcycle. Not many places to conceal the control unit.) I'm very pleased that I didn't have to install a master control unit somewhere on the bike. Another advantage for clean installation, you can install your controls anywhere you want and use any style you want.In addition to an on/off toggle switch, you'll need to install a momentary button for mode selection. Modes are selected, or the whole setup can be reset to the default mode, by shorting the synchronizing wires to positive power. (Different durations determine whether it switches to next/previous mode or resets all lights to default mode.)This is a great little flashing LED set, at roughly 1/2 the cost of the competitor's brand. (And it includes surface-mounting flanges, which are a separate purchase with the competitor.)The surface-mount flanges are plastic and painted flat black & flat silver. The only thing that would have made this more perfect for my installation is if the flanges were metal and chromed or painted gloss black. (This is one area where the competitive brand has the advantage.)
